2) Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council Grant 2010-13 focusing on providing to individuals living in the western Maryland counties of Allegany and Garrett, education and training in the areas of assistive technology. As part of this grant, we worked with Landon's Library to provide adapted books for their monthly book selection along with ideas for parent/child activities in the 7 educational domains. These 7 domains are a measure of kindergarten readiness as part of the Judy Center, Head Start and preschool learning environments. The Tot Bags are filled with activities and items needed to carry out the activities. The Tot Bags are on loan for a week. Ongoing trainings are available. Evaluations, therapy, and staff support continues at Friends Aware, a program for Developmentally Disabled Individuals in Allegany County, MD to develop choice making and communication. Contact us to arrange for an AT consultation and free AT equipment loan program.
